Shabnam Bahmanian, MFA
Co-Founder
Like her sister, Shabnam is also a first generation Iranian-American, fluent in Persian, born and raised in Berkeley, CA.
After graduating from Albany High School, Shabnam went on to pursue her passion-art. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree (BFA) from The California College of Arts and Crafts. She then went on to complete a special three-year Masters program from the University of Southern Illinois in Jewelry/Metal Arts, where she also worked as an instructor.
Shabnam comes to Boostan with over 6 years of teaching experience. She has taught art to both adults and children. She taught art classes to children (ages 2-14) at the Junior Center of Art and Sciences where she also assisted in developing the curriculum. Additionally she has taught art at the Richmond Art Center and The California College of Arts. Shabnam also has extensive teaching experience at Golestan Kids in Berkeley (www.golestankids.com), where she has taught all age levels.
